The Army is just playing RFI-RFI and testing -testing. Adani will win a significant amount of these orders and for the sake of transparency very few numbers will be acquired from the rest of the players. We hope that our army acquires these canons before war starts considering the recent situation.

L&T with ATAGS😮. Can't trust AWEIL. They failed with Dhanush-45 and no guarantee they can deliver Dhanush-52 on time. Will be interesting to see ATAGS offer from L&T and Bharat Forge and also result of DRDO's weight reduction exercise. Hoping for the best. IDDM ki Jai.

Most of the towed artillery guns are made on the requirements of late 2000 era with basic design
Not fullfill requirements of current scenario & next 10-15 years scenario
Except Bharat 52 ultra light howitzers & Garuda

*One IMPORTANT suggestion :*
In the event of a 2 front conflict India will needs lakhs of Artillery shells for our Guns. We should have a plan to fully automate (including use of Robotics like they do in Car manufacturing) so that our assembly line can do a 24x7 manufacturing to meet the demand. Do we have anything like this in place?

In indian media it is speculated that ATAGS is an Indian designed gun. However it is almost a copy of Denel G6 in its chamber volume and capabilities. Denel G6 has a similar range as of ATAGS. it would be helpful if someone enlightens us regarding the engineering differences between ATAGS and G6.
