'ONE OF' ... easy grammar lesson #shorts

❌Don't say: One of my friend is a painter. 🎨
❌Don't say: One of my friends are a painter. 🎨
✅Do say: One of my friends is a painter. 🎨
We use the grammatical structure: ONE OF + plural noun + singular verb.
This might seem strange, but we are talking about ONE in a group.
