The Philippines is once again witnessing political persecution disguised as justice. The possible arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte is not just an attack on one man—it is an attack on the millions of Filipinos who believed in his leadership and the legacy he left behind.

Duterte led with iron will and genuine concern for the Filipino people, tackling crime, drugs, and corruption like no other leader before him. Under his presidency, the nation saw real change, safer streets, and a government that prioritized the needs of ordinary citizens over the interests of the elite. Now, the same forces that once opposed his strong leadership are using legal maneuvers to silence him and discredit his achievements.

This is not about justice—it is about power and control. The attempt to arrest Duterte is a dangerous precedent, signaling that no leader who dares to challenge the status quo is safe from political revenge. We must not allow our democracy to be used as a weapon against those who served the people with strength and conviction.

Let us stand together against this injustice. We call on every Filipino who values Duterte’s legacy to raise their voice, demand fairness, and reject this blatant political harassment. Our nation must move forward, not backward, and this begins by ensuring that our justice system remains free from bias, manipulation, and political agendas.
