Everyone are saying they don't understand what happened and that Legacy of the Void is crap without a good story. They should play it, these cutscenes dont show even a little bit of the story and drive into misunderstanding if you havent played the game. Most of the story is revealed through playing missions and interacting with characters on Spear of Adun while being between missions.

4:50 If Artanis did as Zeratul said, LotV would be SO MUCH easier. According to last mission, the Golden Armada was powerful enough to beat Amon by itself. Instead, they let Amon mentally capture it and utterly crush protoss forces. Also, Zeratul died because Artanis didn't listen.
Artanis says: "Sorry buddy, but protoss sacrificed too much for Aiur's reclamation" Hell, LotV shows what is a real sacrifice and a price for selfishness.

I'm pretty sure the Protoss Dialogue from 2010's WoL was heavily criticized ("Tassadar... but... you died!") and yet, 5 years later, the same stuff.

reading all the comments about the lack of epicness on this SC2

for me it was a really good story (from protoss perspective). The messages and values of communal quality are shown pretty well, it's also tells a story about the significant part of traditions and way of life of the protoss. And for me, it was epic. (Not like the HOTS where the story more focused on the individual competence of Karrigan, exposing her at the same time, Which is also epic).
The Epilogue also kinda sums that up. Well that's just my opinion.

compared to the original stories (brood war and og sc), the stories for sc2 tried way too hard to close it on a high note. I would've loved for it to just end on a simple note. Get artanis to kill kerrigan, get jimmy to be the leader of the terrans, kill all the zerg minds, bring back duran. simple.

Starcraft was probably good enough with the existing characters without having to add Amon as the antagonist. The themes of different people and races coming together to defeat corruption and evil are probably a little more relevant and powerful than what the last game offered no? LoTV was basically about...free will and letting a woman save the day? En Taro Zeratul though...

Well, I'm glad I didn't waste my money on this.
So disappointing. They didn't even manage to deliver that overwhelming Protoss attitude and glory. That was the only thing I was truly hoping for out of this campaign. The SC2 writing was a trainwreck to begin with.
