I've been programming for years and I still learned something new from this video! I wasn't aware that you could use "sout" to quickly type System.out.println() I knew there was a way to do this in C# but I never knew the Java method. Thanks!

A fun shortcut I learned from another tutorial is that if you type in "cmd" without the quotations into the file explorer file path, it will open command prompt with that file path already loaded.

It says that 'javac' is not recognized as an internal or external command when I try to run this is command prompt. Any reason that its doing this?

I type in:

Stuff\HelloWorld\src>javac HelloWorld.java

and it says:


'javac' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

I'm watching this 3 years after it was made and IntelliJ looks different and has different buttons. Should I use an older version of IntelliJ? I'm confused I can't find how to do some of the stuff he did
