VOX AC15 C1 + '91 Squier Strat = slow blues in A

Today as a part of my new practice routine I decided to jam over a backing track and record myself to see my mistakes. This the third take, which turned out to sound pretty sweet. I want to upload it just for sake of tracking my progress.

Played through the top boost channel with Bad Monkey set to add some more low end and a little bit of gain.
Guitar is my E- Series Korean '91 Strat with tex-mex pickups. Recorded with Nikon D3100.

Typed AC30, meant AC15C1 CM which is the new limited edition they released with the Creamback....stock tubes weren't very good so replaced them with Tung-Sol Reissues and the amp exploded with tone...can't wait to hear it in couple of months once the speaker has broken in....keep up the great videos!!

Foot switchable channels for a band comes in pretty handy unless your a pedal junky like me....I get my base amp set to a lightly dirty clean then everything else mostly comes from my pedal board...this is my first Vox and have to say it has exceeded my expectations so far as a pedal platform amp. I had a Marshall DSL40c but after the second MDF baffle broke (poor build quality) I returned it and got the Vox. That JCM800 is a sweet amp, congrats on that score!!

The AC15 might be a bit under powered for a band in anything other than very small venues....wish it had an effects loop and the ability to jump the channels without an ABY box like the AC30 does, but for a home/studio amp it's pretty sweet. It takes pedals very well. What amp are you using now?

Cool :) AC15 is a bit easier to handle and to overdrive. Great choice.
I swapped tubes in mine too - Sovteks for poweramp and JJ/EHX for preamp. I sold this amp to my buddy - it didn't have the things I need for my band. Too bad, I really miss it :(

I'd say that it has enough power for any club gig :) The lack of footswitchable channels and FX loop is a really bummer for me. If I stuck to playing rock or blues I'd never sell that amp though.

As for the AC30 it doesn't have footswitchable channels, but it does have the loop ;)

As for now I switched to a JCM800 4210 - I'm still working on my tone though - you know, all the usual cabinets, speakers, tubes, effects crap.
