Emily Albrecht gets a commenter who seems to think she's never read Judith Jarvis Thomson's "In Defense of Abortion" and that the violinist thought experiment proves the pro-choice argument. In this short, Emily explains why the violinist isn't analogous to pregnancy.

Well, and more obviously, her essay only addresses cases of non-consent, which is not most cases.

Another point to consider is the relationship of the two individuals. Parents have an obligation to care for their children, but if they can’t care for them, they must find someone else who can. At the very least, they may not kill them if they can no longer care for them, and they must care for them as best they can until they can find someone else who can. In other words, adoption is much more preferable to murdering your children.

It was in my case guys i am literally and figuratively your "violinist" you guys forced me into a life i did not want. I am here for everyone on this planet but make no mistake my adoption caused a cascade effect of unfortunate events that daily cause me suffering that is soooo much worse than being cut to pieces without anesthesia and vacuumed out of my mother. That would have only taken minutes. I have suffered for 44 years and am likely to suffer horribly for the next 50 years and watch others suffer from me not being aborted as well. I didn't for my good need to be saved and forced to live with strange strangers who were NOT ok with anything about me. Im writing a book.and by the way I started playing violin by force at age six. And I have met issac perlman and Joshua bell and I have been in the newspaper for playing violin. I deserve to be heard and I will be heard. The life adoption offers is no life at ALL. It is a very cruel lie. And adoption emotionally and psychologically kills many adoptees kills who we are over and over again. And not having our medical histories can kill us too by the way but you guys don't seem to care about that either.

I know it’s a short but I think it’d work better if you took a breath in-between sentences.

I actually take Peter Singer's conclusion on the argument with my own virtue ethics stance. Refusing to save someone when you are in a rational means to save someone and not just that you know you're the only person that could save them is non-virtuous. With typical cases of organ donorship, you're typically not at fault because you know someone else's organs could work, it would just be faster if you were the one who did it.

Fetus is part of mom (like a kneecap) until she decides it isn't. Period.
