the business klopp has done deserves credit. flippin 8mil for robertson and 30mil for salah? both can be sold for 80-100m+ now… hes even made massive profit on vvd, alisson and mane aswell.. underrated

I finally found someone who knows ball. Thank you for speaking this, I was arguing about this for the last 3 years or so.

There is one more factor - availability of money. Its not just that Klopp has spend less, but also he spent most after selling Coutinho and year after I think it was 2018/19 basically, after that the net spend has dropped massively while City spends big almost every summer. City also has the edge when selling players, because they can get more great players in, while Liverpool have to either wait for the perfect player at the perfect price like with VVD and Alisson etc, or risk it with little known players like Robertson, Keita, Elliot, and hold on to injury prone players because we cant afford to sell them for peanuts while City sell anyone they dont like when they want.

At the end of the day they’re both great managers with legacy

This is a really good analysis.

And the outcome is nuanced. Both are good but in different ways

City fan but I love and admire Klopp. Love his character and the entertainment value he brings to the premier league.

Pep has admitted that he couldn't do what he did without that budget. Take that as you will

Pep is such a good manager. We are very lucky to have him. Klopp is good as well. I liked how he managed a mid Liverpool to winning Champions League

Will be good to see how much each trophy each manager brought in, netted out the spending as well

I consider Guardiola to be GOAT but Kloppo > Pep in EPL definitely. His points (97, 99, 92) would win the prem anytime. Guardiola's squad is the one that set the standard to win too damn high.

In my book Klopp has achieved equivalent of 3 PL titles. so 3 PL + 1 UCL = 4 big trophies, that's the same as Guardiola with 1/4 of budget. Phenomenal.

Pep had a good head start fine but a season without a trophy.

He is still able to manage and improve what he met overtime. Pep is just out there to get quality at any cost to improve his game play.

Kloop is a great coach. Who was still able to build up Liverpool. LFC is not ready to throw in the money 💵 just yet.

That’s why Klopp is a world class coach

That will always be a question which will never be answered. If both managers role's were reversed would Guardiola have been as successful with Liverpool. I doubt it personally.

klopp is amazing as a manager he is a legend to us liverpool fans
but then again in pep’s case, anyone would use the oil money if they had at their disposal so pep is still one of the best managers

man at this rate everton spent more than liverpool. that's the problem of liverpool not man city. city didn't only profit from selling the players. they got lot of money from selling players at cfg groups
