We run our pond and Pondless systems year round here in Michigan... great video!!!

Here, in West Denver, I'm running my skimmer/bio falls 2000gph pump in a 500 gallon pond, and it got down to -18° wc just a week ago. As long as the water's running, it shouldn't freeze, with exception of ice dams built up from splashback. Clear the ice dam, and you should be fine. I also have two airstones at 5" below water level, and a 1200 watt de-icer in the middle of the pond.

I recently rebuilt my pond. In the process I raised my water fliter/ water fall so that it's not buried as it was before. It has always ran throughout the winter. Will I have issue now that I have raised it

And running the water in the streams and falls can make some beautiful ice on the rocks that adds an interesting seasonal dynamic to our water feature. Just watch out for ice dams that could cause a problem
