Honestly. this scene emphasizes why Lexie was Meredith's true sister. She never took it personally and knew Mer had issues letting people in. She never gave up on the possibility of having a relationship when Meredith was completely awful to her. Maggie almost immediately whined about Meredith and her attitude instead of trying to understand where she was coming from. She made so many snap judgments about her.

Maggie & Amelia is so lucky to have the Meredith that we have today. Meredith changed, because of Lexie. And that makes me miss Lexie so much! 😭 Until her last breath, she still wanted to tell Meredith she loves her. 😭 I will forever hate Shonda for that! But I am forever thankful that Lexie came in all of our lives, including Meredith's. 💝

i think even if maggie is her sister she could never replace lexie in meredith’s heart. she is her sister because of all of her family she’s the only one who truly didn’t give up on her.
