A great heartfelt reaction. I’m approaching 70 years of age and lost my dad 30 years ago. I tear up every time I hear this. I miss him so much.

Song was written by Gary Burr (musician, songwriter). Conway Twitty was a class act. When I was a young man back in the late 1980's I attended a Bi Low Food Fair event in North Carolina. The event featured some concerts at a small auditorium adjacent to the Fair. I saw Conway Twitty perform live for a special $5 show. I was not expecting much for that price .. the man put on a solid 1 and half hour show and gave it his all. It's something I never forgot.

If this doesn’t bring a tear to your eye, then you have a heart of stone.

Love this song love your reaction. As to people getting annoyed by your smiling, you have a beautiful smile and it brightens my day. If being "cool" means not being yourself then it isn't a good thing.

There are only a few who can make you cry like Conway Twitty

I heard this song in the shower, my father had died 8 years earlier and I never cried. I knew it was going to happen. I'm hearing this song and it's so exactly my dad. That might have been the longest shower of my life. A couple of years later I stood shoulder to shoulder with Conway in Gatlinburg, TN. We didn't speak, but I wish I had thanked him for this song.

Many moons ago when I was working executive protection for another entertainer, I had the blessing of meeting Harold and over the years I met him more and more in different places, he never forgot my name, not my sir name and not my working handle. I had the fortune to take my mom to Twitty City with his invitation; she got to meet one of her favorite legendary singers and had the best 3 days of her life.
Harold wrote many songs under his real name and sang them; something most don't realize. He was a true friend and like Charlie Daniels; will always be missed.

My first time hearing this song and it's but me hard. Why? My Father is 95 and wants to join Mom in Heaven....I feel just like young man. Tears are streaming. I moved back to Houston for their last years 11 years ago and it's been a difficult but precious time and I'm so glad I'm here. 💜

My dad was my best friend. We lost him in 2015. This song fit him so well. I once asked him why he didn't come back from Vietnam messed up like so many other service men and to told my he couldn't because he had a family to take care of. I'm 61 and still miss him every day.

It has been said that Country is 3 chords and a story, and that is true, but it is usually one HELL of a story.

Nice reaction Ace to a beautiful song. Anyone with a good relationship with their father or son has the same emotional feeling that you experienced.

58 year old male. Lost my pops several years back. The pain is still there. I will never forget the phone call from the doctor at the hospital. I was a wreck for days. We had our differences, yet I loved the old guy. Great song.

The band "Bread" has a song that makes me cry every time I hear it.. . .. "EVERY THING I OWN" The lead singer wrote this song about his dad when he died from a heart attack..
He will give everything he owns just to have his dad back. He will give up his life his heart and his home to have his dad back.. Its a beautiful song.. It just hits me hard because my dad died when I was 18. I can relate to the song.. if you haven't reacted ro this song before.. it is song worth listening to.

I've heard this song many times and every time it ends with a tear going down my face. You were moved to speechlessness, and it's completely understandable. Thank you for this heartfelt reaction.
