Guess Who Is Taking the National MFT Licensing Exam?

Guess what? I am thinking of retiring elsewhere (you have to watch to find out where), and it turns out that I need to take the National MFT and Counseling Exams. Seriously--FUN!!

The video documents my excitement of getting the application in the mail (yay!). Waiting nearly 10 weeks to hear from the board (boo!). Untangling miscommunication with the board (unexplained mystery). And finally my multiple struggles and ultimate triumph with signing up to take the National MFT Exam...Counselor Exam will be next fall...I hope.

I'm studying for the national exam to get licensed in another state as well! I'm licensed in CA, and I found your videos about two days before I took that exam in 2018, and thought to myself "boy, I wish I knew about these a month ago!" and have recommended to everyone since then! I'm currently on my last year of my program and in the process of my internship (so still some time for me). However, I live in CA but eventually want to move to NY once I've completed all my hours here in CA. My question is, would it be best of taking the National exam right from the bat instead of taking the state one, that way I dont have to take two exams such as the CA and then the National one, once I decide to move. Wondering if that is even possible.

I just had the same exact issue with the Code here in Wisconsin... I called and emailed the board, still waiting to hear back. Studying now, I was planning to take mid-June, but maybe I'll take it in July now!
