Could Jack Have Survived? | Titanic : 25 Years Later With James Cameron National Geographic UK

For the first time ever, James Cameron is gathering experts to help him explore the myths and mysteries of the Titanic and is adding a postscript to his fictional retelling of the tragedy. The deeper story – one that some claim James Cameron got wrong – is whether Jack could have changed the outcome had he acted differently. We can settle this once and for all by staging two experiments. After hearing fans continue to insist Jack didn’t have to die that night, he mounts tests to see, once and for all, whether both Jack and Rose could have both fit on the raft and survived.

Settle the debate in Titanic: 25 Years Later With James Cameron, Sunday 23rd July at 8pm, only on National Geographic UK

This kind of question is stupid because it does not take into account all the parameters of the time like the legality of the cocaine which could have made him swim back to New York.

He could’ve Rose could’ve judged stayed on the lifeboat so Jack would’ve had the wooden door to himself

Hold on a second, Jack can survive a deadly plane crash with the posibility of one in a million, with severe burns, broken bones and dislocated organs, but can't survive being exposed to the cold water for a few minutes?

Even if he had stayed on the door that doesn’t guarantee he would have lived. He might have still died of hypothermia
