You guys are the best. During the end of the sound system tour June 2000 I got to see you guys.. cut to August 2000 something horrible happened with my family and my father was arrested. P-nuts mom Joan ran the message board back then and she forwarded a message to the guys and in September 2000 I received signed band promo photos.. a signed personalized email..

They didn’t have to do that.

Rad! I still have and fit into my Jenco jeans with the swirled stripes going down both legs, seen on a Slinky in the Come Original vid! I have the black pair with blue, purple, and aqua swirls. The girl in the video is wearing the blue denim ones with red and white swirl-stripes.

Come Original came out when I was first really getting into 311, and Soundsystem is the album that made me go back and buy Music/Grassroots and I’ll always remember that as being my peak 311 fangirl era. I even made custom 311 wallpaper for myself, haha

Soundsystem is a trip-funk-hop gem 💎, always put it on while I cut the grass, because of the happy positive vibes
