That's why you need an electoral reform to incentivize a third party.

To the people who voted for open borders, how bout you pay their taxes. Leave our American citizens out of this!

Allowing and encouraging illegal immigration is extremely cruel toward our brothers and sisters making these journeys. Undocumented people will be exploited in every way. Protect their humanity and demand everyone go through the safe and legal pathways.

Because illegal immigration is, Illegal maybe?

I'm a Chinese immigrant and I hate Trump, but on the illegal immigration issue, I have to side with the Republicans. While those of us who respect and abide by US's laws, earn our degrees, pay our taxes, wait years in line to earn our citizenship, there are millions of illegals that just casually marches across the border, violate the laws and cut in front of the legal immigrants. This is not right, this is not fair. Democrats should side with the Republicans on this issue and stop the illegal immigration, while the Republicans should agree with the Democrats to increase LEGAL immigration based on individual merits.

The Border Bill allowed 5000 illegal immigrants a day. If exceeded the DHS still had the option to do nothing. The bill was not bipartisan

What a horrible video. Completely failed to mention the very valid reason the bill was rejected ie the normalizing of nearly 2 million illegal immigrants a year into the country

The bill sucks. 60.06 billion to Ukraine, 14.1 billion to Israel and 10 billion for Gaza.

The five thousand a day was a non starter and anyone who says otherwise is misconstruing the position of conservatives

It'd be really nice to see the WSJ provide a good-faith representation of the economic theory + resulting policy proposals of the Republicans/Democrats instead of a piece like this that is heavy on narrative / light on empirical numbers.

Much bigger problem is that military help to Ukraine is frozen due to Republicans. If Ukraine fails against russia US will soon need to send its troops to Europe again. So its much cheaper to spend 6% of military budget now then fighting against soviets

TL:DR It didn’t go through because trump wanted to campaign on that issue. He put his own interests over the country’s.
