I've been looking forward to this moment for so long, I always knew I wanted to start posting for my channel once I had my classroom, and HERE WE ARE! 🥹 I can't wait to share my journey with you, while I transform this space and make it perfect for my K/1 kiddos and I!

Those desks are so cool and I wish I had your windows!
7th year teacher here and my advice for you is to just get your basics down and throughout the year you'll add so much since there will be deals, other teachers cleaning out/moving throughout the year. So don't sweat getting everything ready beforehand. Give your self a day to just work on the first 2 weeks of school if not more! :)

To prevent feeling overwhelmed, try to divide your classroom into quadrants. Work on one quadrant at a time. Invest in heavy-duty packing tape to place on the spines of the paperback books. Please ask your administrator if you have permission to use contact paper or use paint. Enjoy your first year. I just finished year 31 back in May. The best goo remover for any sticky stuff is lemon oil! It smells great and it’s natural. (Test on wood though to make sure it doesn’t take off the finish of the wood)

What does having a k/1 combo entail?? Are you teaching K content to the kinders & then 1st content to the 1st graders?? Or are they on the same level? Sorry, we don’t have that in my state!!😆 I’m curious !!

Why does your classroom have to be cute ? Ours were sparse. Empty walls except maybe a print of the queen or the Group of Seven?Oh right, I forgot. You have to entertain the kids. We were not there to be entertained.
