Yeah. Don't know if I'm contributing much to the thread, but it needs saying:

My favorite record in the world. Never gets old. Still surprises and fascinates me. A masterpiece. Perfect in every way.

True story: I was at a gym in NYC in 2019 working out with an Angel Dust t-shirt on. I was in the middle of a set when someone came up and pointed at my shirt and then pointed at himself and gave me a thumbs up. He looked familiar but in my post bench press haze, I couldn't figure out who he was or what he was pointing at. I sat up and the guy extended his hand and said "love the shirt, I'm Roddy"....Talk about amazing universal timing. Got to meet and chat with Roddy Bottum that day and was fortunate enough to see him a few times after that at the same place. I explained that Angel Dust was the album that helped me survive my sophomore year in high school and that I was bummed that the next album didn't have as much of his synth work on it. He was super friendly and patient as I geeked out :)

I bought this album on CD in 1992, and I listen to it on YouTube in 2024, and I realize it is timelessly good

if i speak at one constant volume, at one constant pitch, at one constant rhythm, right into your ear, you still won't hear. those are brilliant words.

I learned about FNM a year ago, at the age of 36. I don't know how I missed them, but this band is now easily my favorite, and this album is a classic. Better late than never I suppose!

I've heard once about Faith No More, I listened to one of their songs and I didn't really connect much.
I'm sitting here now at 3AM in full dark, their name came to my head, I wanted to give another shot and came to this album..
This is one of the best albums I've ever heard, I never could really listen to a full album w/ much patience and they really put everything here!!!!
It's insane how much elements they put into this, his voice, the bass groove, the aggressive drums, the freaking synths.. holy shit.
And they always come with an idea on how to surprise you in each song..
Pure masterpiece.
