William was certainly an outstanding historical figure to have survived through such a dangerous childhood up to adulthood and than to go from being a duke to a king definitely is a remarkable life story that few people have achieved we owe him so much because the entire English world that we know today goes back to what he achieved at the battle of Hastings in 1066.

Great video, as usual. You gave substantial insight into what made Duke William into such an effective ruler and warrior later in life. I was unaware of these things. As usual, the visuals and the way you told the story really drew me in and kept me fully engaged, to say the least. Lol. How old was Duke William when he lead that battle with King Henri of France? He had to be very young and certainly inexperienced in leading an army in battle. Though he had been trained in Norman military ways and personal combat dang near since birth, it's wholly another thing when you are galloping into the fray. He was the Conqueror, no doubt. Please keep the outstanding videos coming and God bless you, my friend!

My ancestors were Normans from Lourdes. They served him well at the battle of Hastings and became minor nobility.

How about, you make a video on the Siege of Vilnius in 1390s. Henry of Derby took part in it.
Tueutons attacked Lithuania, with pretext of crusade, despite it being already baptised by Poland.

The trauma of boyhood made the man. Based and badass: to impose order through strong rule.

Hi, I am going to be a little bit offtopic but I am thinking about reading some book about Richard the Lionheart. I am mostly interested in his exploits in the middle east but I would not mind an entire biography if its really good. What do you think is the best book on this topic ? Thank you
