Honestly, i used to follow your strategy but have adapted, its not 2020 anymore, you need more higher time frame awareness. 196-196.50 was a supply/demand zone that was visible on the 30-1hr time frame and with that highlighted you can see the story playing out. When that chop starts to set in the price cant reclaim above it and we break below it when the moving average catches up. Breakouts can work but the entries need to be refined to be closer to a key level in anticipation of the break other wise the R:R isn't there for price to play out logically in a choppy environment like this.

I've been having some success with using shares on leverage as well instead of options. Much lower commissions on these and the liquidity is so much better so stop losses are much more effective. That 0.05 to 0.10 spread on options is killer when you get stopped out.

Thank you coach . Yes Tesla caught me off guard last week and I almost lost all I had . That was a killer and now I understand the meaning of near money and that is you loose all your money when the near money so called goes far . The contract called worthless and I lost all my money in 18 contract and it was worthless. I found another word for option and that is called shark or snake . Mat thanks again for teaching .

Nowadays cfds are a fantastic option, you can close position at any time and no need to hit a certain run, of course this is only for people who can handle leverage

Have you thought about selling CSP puts on TSLA on a pullback. That way you have theta and Greeks on your side. Been doing 275 strike 2 weeks out for $3.50 and on pullback then in 15-30
Mins you can close for $50-100 profit

Why don’t you trade futures? MES and ES. No PDT issue for people with smaller accounts. No option premium theta and Vega issues to deal with. Ie it has the same benefit trading “shares” has

Yesterday was just such a day, market breakout but also Friday opex day with JP speaking. I Lost about 300 yesterday but gained1700 the day before because it had much more clear trends
