The absolute SHOCK I experienced when I realized nobody had made a TMA animatic for this song yet… so I had to make it myself!

It’s definitely been a grind, I was trying to get it out today specifically because halloween and also it’s the fifth anniversary of MAG 160 so the past few days have been a little brutal but it’s done! (Still October 31st in my timezone lol) I’m looking forward to not animating for a while.

Okay I can't stop watching this- this may actually be my favorite TMA animatic I've seen. The backgrounds, the bits of animation, the composition, the SONG CHOICE (this one is never leaving my brain), the way the tension builds AGH. This is just SO well done. And it's so underrated! Under 200 likes?? This seriously deserves so much more attention.

This is genuinely the best attempt at animating the magnus archives I have ever seen, to condense 200 episodes to 4 minutes is beyond incredible. The bullet scene showing who they lost and how is inspired and the constant subtle inclusion of the web is genius. This deserves a million more views, well done!

This is incredible, you captured the vibe of the series and the building suspense so well. There are so many sequences and shots I'm obsessed with, like the one moving from Gertrude to Sasha to Leitner to Tim, or the one where he's strung up like a crucifixion, or the ending where the lighter morphs into the tape recorder... and just the way you animated the water, and Jon's hair, and just all of it-- God this is amazing, you should totally be proud of yourself. I usually never ever comment on videos, just not my thing, I prefer reading the comments.. but this one was so good, it satisfied my TMA/TMAGP hyperfixation so much, I’m so glad you made this.. good lord, op, this is the best tma animatic I’ve ever seen and will see in my life… (keeping in mind that I’ve been watching tma animatics till 1.30 am) I just love the way you could wrap up two *hundred* episodes worth of plot into a 4 minute video.. all the little details are so perfect… this is exactly how I envisioned the archives and most of the characters.. except I suck at drawing, so I couldn’t bring any of this to life.. I’m so grateful you didn’t animate MAG 200, I can’t afford to be emotionally devastated and sobbing in bed at 2 in the morning.. you have done absolute justice to the ship, and all the characters.. Jon wrapped in tapes, Martin moving away, the last sequence of objects turning into a tape recorder, it’s so good I can’t even articulate it properly.. (btw love the song, hearing it for the first time, gonna check it out)

This is incredible and perfect and so utterly Magnus! In every single frame, the environments, the characters, and the imagery are all so striking and vivid with no thought or creativity spared. I hope that after some well deserved rest, the creator of this masterpiece will compose more TMA animatics because holy hell I am HERE FOR IT

Oh my god this is *stunning.* When there was the first moment where it was cutting back and forth between their hands on the mug and tape recorder and them holding hands I literally gasped and spent the rest of the video with my hands glued to the side of my face. OUGH that was INCREDIBLE.

I would not have expected this song to work well for TMA, but this really surprised me over and over with how it was used (/pos)
