At first glance, I thought the thumbnail for this video was a bottle of beer. Oh well, a rocket is also ok. 🍺 🚀

I was 19 when Apollo 11 landed on the moon. It's high time we go there again. Good luck, NASA!

As a native Floridian i must tell people . If you have never seen a launch in person make the trip . The television does not do it justice . Its something every American should see . I live on the west coast of Florida but i have a friend that lives so close to the cape that his chain link fence vibrates when there is a launch . Definitely worth the trip and when its over you can go to Cocoa Beach which is absolutly beautiful .

NASA is about to prove that 50 plus years of technology advancements has resulted in minimal functionality in space exploration.

Two things about the video. Apollo mass in lunar orbit was about 30 metric tons, not 24 as it was stated in the video. LEM was about 15 tons full of propellent and CM+SM was about 15 after all burns to put it in lunar orbit (Launch mass of CM+SM was about 29 tons). SLS is more powerful, but it is less capable than Saturn V because it is a two-stage rocket. Apollo had three stages and it didn't need to boost extra weight to high velocity. The reason NASA went with SLS was because it looked easy. It turned out to be hard and on top of that less capable.

This time we hope they make copies of this new technology to go to the moon since they lost/destroyed the previous technology 😁😅😂🤣😳🚀

I'm a fan of EVERY launch platform. Rocket Lab, SpaceX, Nasa, or any of the smaller start-ups. They are all cool! I just barely remember Mercury launches, but watched Gemini and Apollo flights. I want to see all of the space companies succeed! Space IS our future.

I'm excited about the Artemis program and Artemis 1. It's kind of bittersweet though. 50 years, really, we should have been there already and progressed to a point of self sufficiency. On that note, lets kick this thing down the road and get it right this time.

"Humans are going back to the moon for the first time in 50 years!"

Yes, but we quit and passed on other opportunities to go back and tied ourselves to LEO by abandoning further development of longer range rockets with the space shuttle. We blew far too much on that when there was far more that could have been done just on the moon and even Mars (we had a mission plan to go to Mars as early as the 60s and another one in the 80s).

This to me is so professional. SpaceX are doing well with what they are using but this is some OG Aerospace awesomeness.

I'm excited to return to the moon, but I'm a little skeptical about the launch schedule of every year. It's NASA and they almost never stick to tight schedules. If there is one accident, they will immediately put everything on hold for a decade or century.

I am realizing that good videos like this are important to my interest level. Having just watched NASA's Artemis video and now this one I am much more excited for the August 29 mission that is on my calendar to not miss! Great video.
