Found a way to eliminate the exhaust drone...by accident

I just realized the drone from my exhaust is gone! I recently wrapped my J-Pipe with fiberglass exhaust wrap. That has dampened the sound enough to remove the drone 👍🏻 Give it a try and let me know if it works for you.

I found the more i wrapped it. The quieter it was inside. I didnt wrap the headers. I originally wrapped the under the cab of my truck because the floor was warm on a hot day even with the AC.
I also run a J pipe. Worked at cruise but wasnt set up otherwise.
I am going to wrap up to the tip now.
The wrap does cut down whats inside the cab noisewise. Bit roll down the window it sounds bad ass still

Easy enough to do. Got to be worth a go!

I'm having a bad drone that starts around 2k rpm. Thinking of sound deadening/ acoustic pads (asphalt based) on the trunk first (then maybe the floor on rear seats). Do u think that'd have an effect?

Is it really that easy to quiet drone? I thought wrap just made the exhaust hotter.

Did you wrap the flex pipe section as well?

I have a MKV Supra, trying to figure out how to get ride of drone. Any advice on what parts of the exhaust to wrap? I have a catless downpipe, with an aftermarket exhaust that has a small muffler (ARK DTS SUPRA EXHAUST)
