Kratos: “All journeys come to an end”

Atreus: “THE HANDS OF DEATH COULD NOT DEFEAT YOU. THE SISTERS OF FATE COULD NOT HOLD YOU. AND YOU WILL SEE THE END OF THIS DAY. I WILL HAVE MY FATHER!”

I felt like this should had been a cut scene because of how important this was and revealing why Artreus was acting out.

Despite everything, Atreus loves his father and doesn't want kratos to die in his arms like that.

there's the big difference between Odin and Kratos
Odin spend many years to prevent his death on Prophecy, while Kratos the ultimate Chad just says
"Death can have me when it earn me"
he accept his death with open arms when it finally come to him, thats what make him more superior than both Odin and Zeus.
and thats also makes Freya shocked and amazed, since she learn that Kratos knew about his death prophecy but doing nothing to prevent that but still alive, while she on other hand, hearing prophecy about her son death she started "torturing" her son with her so-called "protection"

“one day you’ll have to learn how to survive…without me” made me tear up cause my dad said that too.

Kratos was right in the end. "All journeys come to an end", perhaps he didn't die, but his time with Atreus ended. Atreus proved himself ready to move forward on his own, and so Kratos let him go, ending their journey TOGETHER. Perhaps they will meet again, and work together again for a while, but it will no longer be THEIR journey, just their own individual ones.

Are we not gonna talk about how chill Kratos said "in Jotunnheim" like he talked about grocery trip?

What Kratos learned was that the Giants didn't decide what the future was going to be, but that they predicted what would happen if he went the route he originally would've gone and not altered it.

Fate is more certain than prediction because it's a decision by a higher power, but it has no hold over Kratos. He says fate is a lie, but could this be, simply because he beat the Sisters? And therefore, absorbed their power to truly do whatever he wanted?

Makes sense when we saw KRATOS spot the death thing he had no fear, he just looked at it like, hmm. So it makes sense he sees his death and is like, I must train my BOY!

& in Kratos fashion, him & Atreus broke that fate in the end. 💯

Kratos has been to hell and back. Atreus has no idea.

Kratos proves that the only way to avoid fate is to ignore it. Kratos wasn’t moved by no Prophecy at all. How many times has he died and gone to the UnderWorld? Doesn’t scare him anymore!!

Kratos is the literal definition of a bad ass Stoic

i really wish this was a cutscene instead of easily misable dialog, like if you aren't paying attention this can fly right over your head.

i do love that they make up though.

Atreus ended up embarquing on a journey without Kratos.

Sometimes I wonder if the reason Kratos isn’t really concerned is because he literally cannot be killed while there is an afterlife. Like you’d have to destroy his soul entirely to kill him because his blades are bonded to him even in the afterlife so he’s literally always got the weaponry needed to kill his way out
