We Have Never Seen ANYTHING Like Nikola Jokic

Through the first few weeks of the 2025 NBA season, Nikola Jokic has been putting together one of the greatest seasons in the history of basketball. He's dominating in a way that only few players, like LeBron James and Steph Curry, ever have. He's scoring at a career rate, he's elevating everyone around him, an unstoppable playmaker, a dominant rebounder, and has the Nuggets probably playing way better than they should be, especially in last night's win over the Dallas Mavericks. He's perhaps the most unique player in basketball history and we need to talk about what he's doing cause we'll likely never see it again. Let's talk about it.

Jokic is having a 55-50-85 season as a centre, while leading the league in Rebounds and Assists, being top 10 in points and being top 3 in deflections. If he keeps this up, or even plays at close to this through the 82 games, it will be the best season ever played by a player in the history of the sport.

The thing is Jokic has to put up these numbers. Denver would’ve lost all of these games unless he dug deep and put up these video game numbers. The Denver Nuggets are being held entirely together by Jokic. He has +40 net rating per 100 possessions. When he is on the floor he is providing all of Denver’s offense and allows Denver to play teams to at least a draw. When he’s off the court for any length of time the the team doesn’t know how to function. In terms of value there isn’t a player who provides more imo.

The Nuggets are looking amazing, and Jokic is looking like the best player I’ve ever seen. Can’t believe I actually thought a couple seasons ago Embiid was in this guys stratosphere I’ve watched a lot of these nuggets games and I know people dislike them but honestly I really enjoy watching them play and jokic is one of the most incredible players I’ve seen in my short stint of watching ball. generational and I think that’s starting to hit everyone now.
