TOPS Knives Wilderness guide 4.0: Field test/Review

TOPS knives built this knife for me. Kidding, but they did design this knife with the outdoor adventurist in mind. I had a lot of fun doing this video, and took my time filming it in wild and wonderful West Virginia. This is the perfect companion to take on extended trips in the sticks, day hikes, pretty much everything.

This is not a sponsored video, although TOPS did send this over for T&E.

The Good:
Lightweight
Razor sharp from the factory (it gives razor burn, but you can shave with it)
VERY stoked on the sheath. Multiple Carry options Removable cover
Accessories that come with the knife (even if you already have some, its good to have a backup, especially a compass.)
Handle ergonomics
Grippy handle scales
Hollow Brass rivets are sweet, and can help you lash it to a pole.
Very strong tip design
Nice belly on the blade for skinning

The Bad:
Wish it had a spindle socket from the factory. I may add my own later.

Nice review, I have definitely been digging Tops knives lately. I just ordered a Condor Alert and I am super excited to get it. Its a bigger blade which I like and has a basic design that seems to be well suitable for wood crafting and as a survival knife.

Honestly i was not very confident about TOPS Knives, because i saw a total failure of one of their products (think it was the screaming eagle) in a test here on YT too.

2 questions:
You can't use the hollow rivets as a socket? maby if you make a little point on the stick...
What saw do you use to cut those logs? i'm looking for one.

Really don't like a blade that small for that kind of tasks, I usually use a 30 cm blade bowie, but anyway, great vid.

Cant you use the brass rivets in the handle as a divot for drilling ?

Looks like a great design.  Not a real fan of "black traction coating", because I do not see the purpose of artificially creating drag on the flats of a knife blade.  The "Black River Wash" would be better, IMO.

Andy i wouldn't go worrying about comments from someone who obviously is looking for attention and not looking for some deacent video reveiws of some quality products. So don't feed the trolls.
