DOS Gaming in 2023 : Trying out SBEMU and a few games

This is an update to my 2015 video when things were quite dire.... But thanks to SBEMU among other things, we can finally play DOS games the way they were meant to be.

You may ask : Why not use Dosbox anyway ? Well the thing is, later DOS SVGA games at higher resolutions are particularly CPU intensive... whereas here they run fine (mostly).
But now that the sound situation is sorted out, i still have to deal with other unrelated issues : BIOS bugs according Legacy USB and other memory related issues as well... I do have a more appropriate PC though, so i may try that one instead. But if you just need to use a small thin PC, this is a perfect solution in my opinion ! I would dare to say even better than those old HP with built in soundblaster compatibility (although they are still very good).

Can you please provide me information on what Sound card driver you installed? trying to get this working fully but can’t manage to play midi files so wondering what I’m missing to do this thanks

Did you tried runnin alone in the dark? I am always getting an error trying to boot this games.

Are you running dos from boot or through window 98?

What kind of display would you recommend for DOS gaming, crt screen would be of course the best, but are there any alternatives?
