In this video I will find the electric field, E=?, at a point in the CENTER OF THE TRIANGLE where q2=3uC is at the top of the triangle 0.5m away from q1=8uC and q3=-5uC.

Love how you have been gradually building up the difficulty, very useful.

Thank you so much!! I have been so confused in class and you explained this so well. Thank you for making these videos

you discovered the distance was: 2/3 x 0.5 x cos 30 = 0.289m, but put 0.219m for the distance of the charges when calculating the Charges?
from my calculations the charge from E1 = 423, 529.4 N/C
at 12:38 you also say inverse tangent of 126 instead of 162.. (inverse tangent (162 divided by 1216)) = 7.58 degrees

Alas! You've finally shown yourself to be human...lol. GREAT, great lectures. At the end, you plugged in the wrong numbers to get the angle. Having said that, this channel is wonderful. Keep up the great work.

Shouldn't the direction be 7.59 degrees when you take the inverse tangent of the x and y components? This video was really helpful thank you.

I don't understand how in 2:20, the horizontal bisects the angle between the vectors and how its 60 in total

Can't we use Lami's theorem instead?

Mr. Biezen, US high school almost does not teach geometry at all, so the center as 2/3 is not that obvious to many, lol

Someone should please say how the 2/3 came into place. I don't see it. I can calculate it, but I don't see how d is 2/3 way down.

I am just wondering if the final angle should not be expressed as a ''negative'', since it is below the horizontal x-axis? if the angle is positive than the Vector arrow would be pointing upwards from the x-axis?

Wait a sec, Why is it multiplied by 2/3

That is wrong the distance you used in the cauculation was 0.219 and it is 0.289 the result is very different

Why is the angle between E1 and E3 sixty degrees?
