This is a really good lesson. I was having trouble with the solo because of how it spans the whole fretboard and I wasn't able to make it sound smooth so I had a pootle around and there are a few easier ways to play it. The best way I found and I think the way Yannis might play it from watching live videos is using a minor pentatonic shape at the tenth fret. I'm not hugely confident in either my music theory or guitar playing ability so it would be great if anyone could verify this haha

awesome Job, ignore the form police commenting on here... use as many finger as you like... hell use a banana if you want, it's your style and it sounds good.... what more do you need? I normally finger pick with just 1 finger and it's probably not to "right" way to... but it work for me... anyway, keep playing and enjoy it!

Cant wait to try this when I get home. The solo tho, I think he plays it in the one position without going up and down fretboard.

If you're going to teach people how to play a song, at least make sure you're teaching them the right thing

Thank you for doing the work on this. It's great. Question. I noticed by watching the video of the foals, for the solo he doesn't go up the neck from 14/13 to 8/10. I noticed that you can go from the beginning of the solo from 14/13 to 12/15. I'm not sure if I have the proper notes but have you noticed this? Thanks!

I find the easiest way to play it is in drop D tuning, middle finger on 12th fret of the E string but in this case drop D, the third finger (don't know name for it) on the d string 12th fret and index finger on 10th g string then move along playing the different notes in the same shape so ie next chord middle finger on 10th Drop D, third finger 10th on d and index on the 9th, (I'm pretty sure this is how jimmy/yannis play live)

Good lesson, but just improve your technique and use the four fingers :) (y)
