How do you write complex equations such as integration and differentiation

I'm using 2013 right now, every time I relaunch MW after typing a certain equations, some of the characters keep on went missing . What is the problem ? I mailed Microsoft about this and the solution they gave me still doesn't fix the problem .

Can you tell me how I can add the numbers underneath being vertical in powerpoint? I want them one on top of another and for them to be aligned as well.
