Thank you Sophie! This is actually really helpful for me. I've been mostly a bluesy/rock player most of my life but wanted to expand my techniques a bit and I love how you related these legato licks/exercises back to Aeolian and Dorian modes. It makes it easier to understand the patterns for sure.

Your legato is awesome. I utilize many of those same patterns and change notes up the faster I play them. I even started to train myself picking every note I would play legato and it made me better. My alternate picking increased drastically. That and studying Andy James really helped my picking techniques and tapping. You’re a brilliant guitarist and you convey your message well.
