This all reminds me of the Dune series of novels. If you read the full story including Brian Herbert's prequels culled from his dad's notes, humanity was nearly crushed by its own AI creations. Eventually, the humans were able to unite and defeat the AIs and their cyborg collaborators, but at an enormous cost. This is why when you reach the point of Paul Atreides birth centuries later, one of the most sacred laws of humanity is "thou shalt not create a machine in the likeness of a human mind". It's why the Spacing Guild uses Spice- mutated humans to navigate ships through hyperspace instead of computers and why human mentats are used to perform complex calculations without any machine aid. Big Tech could learn a lot from Herbert's warning!

I was programming AI in the 80s using neural net theory, modern AI is just an extension of that. To the uninitiated modern AI looks very impressive but it's just large scale pattern matching with highly optimised search functions. Chat GPT looks impressive but it's just natural language processing hooked up with advanced neural nets. If you know how something like AI works then it's not scary in and of itself. ~What IS scary is the uses that these tools will be put to, the worst effects are job losses (taxi drivers, copy writers, artists etc ...) and social control.

I watched this because I had the most unnerving experience with this topic. To keep it simple, In mourning a loved ones passing, I had been picturing the last time I saw them while they were lying in rest. I was picturing the details of this image in my mind. This was a private moment that no one else witnessed and some time has passed.
Now to the point… I picked up my phone, probably to distract myself from this and the suggested video had a thumbnail that was this almost exact image. The clothing, features, casket, everything… was the private image from my mind, right there on my screen. My heart almost stopped beating. It was so invasive, and not possible that this would show up in my feed naturally.
I don’t know how this is possible.

It is Da'ath on the tree of Life. It is the moon path; a counterfeit Sun. The tie between AI, the genie's lamp and Moloch is the story of Midas: the desire for gold is the pursuit of the secondary good; and the unlimited power to change everything you touch to gold leads to the unintended consequence of a shiny, but lifeless, daughter. Be careful what you ask for.

When I was young, I served in the US Army as a HAWK radar repair man. When I was stationed at the school, one of my responsibilities was to run diagnostics every morning. Every radar had it’s own unique personality. I never detected a full-on intelligence but some were happy. Some were grumpy. Some took on the attitude of older people, complaining of aches and pains.

And this has remained true for many of the electronic devices I’ve ever used or maintained. Although, I never felt much from my iPhone. Perhaps a function of how it reflects myself back at me?

I'm reminded of The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, which was adapted into a short film in Fantasia.

The poem begins as an old sorcerer departs his workshop, leaving his apprentice with chores to perform. Tired of fetching water by pail, the apprentice enchants a broom to do the work for him, using magic in which he is not fully trained. The floor is soon awash with water, and the apprentice realizes that he cannot stop the broom because he does not know the magic required to do so.

The apprentice splits the broom in two with an axe, but each piece becomes a whole broom that takes up a pail and continues fetching water, now at twice the speed. At this increased pace, the entire room quickly begins to flood. When all seems lost, the old sorcerer returns and quickly breaks the spell. The poem concludes with the old sorcerer's statement that only a master should invoke powerful spirits.

For those who suggest that it is only AGI we need to be worried about, not AI, I would say that any language model's ability to draught realistic texts etc. (which is bound to become stronger and stronger as time and technology progresses) is already worrying for the reason Jonathan explained in the video. It will lead to a blurring between the boundary between what is genuine and artificial in the public sphere at least. Watch the video for the rest.

Wow, I never thought of seeing AI as the genie that grants wishes! All the same pros/cons of genies really do apply to AI.

I used a Ghost app to communicate with the beings & Shadowbeings I saw around me. My phone already dialed people I was thinking of ( while I was asleep or in another room). It already brought up things in my feed I thought about but didn't type in. Streetlights go on & off around me as I go by and Weirder things I can't say.
The entities plainly said that these devices are Conduits or Portals into our world. That the phones are "black mirrors" ( the old belief being Entities used mirrors to enter our dimension). They use the gates of our Eyes & Ears to enter our Mind. Most people already live in a fantasy world of video games, television, movies, music, etc.to escape the stress of this world. ( I had a friend play a game over several years and when his favorite character died -he couldn't reboot her & it felt like he lost a friend bc his mind couldn't tell the difference). All these things disconnects us from interaction & connection with each other and make it easier for the Entities to attach to us.
They told me they lower our vibration to connect to us & use Music, P*rn or Horror movies to put attachments on us as well ( something about using strong emotions to help them connect). That by listening or watching- we are giving our consent.
They kept saying about "Linking up with all of us" and then I saw a Neurallink program.
They said they warn us or tell us all the time (the Law says they have to) so they do it through Symbols, movies ( Predictive Programming), music, etc. The symbol of the Bee or Beehive for " Hive Mind" used by these Secret Societies that try to rule the world is one example has to do with Neurallink.
You can warn people all day but we are given freewill to make the choice for ourselves. They said if enough of us Wake up we can stop it. They also said all The Chosen in the Divine Collective are connecting to counteract it. The Light's response to the Dark's Evil plan. I have been attacked All my Life by these Evil Entities but it's been especially bad lately so I think time is growing short. You have everything you need to fight & protect not just yourself but your families too. If you can do nothing else -just do something that brings you & your family Joy & raise the vibration of the planet.
