It's so nice to see someone else actually reading what is being said instead of assuming that Luke is a god or something (I like Luke).

Before I watch the video imma say Anakin had more potential but Luke was close behind. I also see that a lot of people think Luke is only half of Anakins potential which I disagree with

The chosen one
Chosen by the force
Not by the Jedi or the sith but by the force.
Anakin has unlimited potential and if the moment ever arose he would have unlimited power

Luke could become the man that Anakin never did
He could become the Jedi that Anakin never did
He could become the leader that Anakin never did

if we compared their primes, luke stomps in canon and legends
luke's growth was insane yet believable in the trilogy, he was able to effectively block blaster bolts after a couple hours of training, and was able to use the force to precisely hit a shot to destroy the death star.

luke was already stronger than most opponents vader had fought beforehand in TEsB and vader was very impressed with Luke's skills. luke had almost doubled in power by the next movie
there are a few reasons why Luke was able to become so broken in such an accelerated rate that people don't understand Luke inherited ALL of anakin's potential, but the game changers here is his mindset was FAR better suited to control of the force than anakin was, he didnt have a sad childhood or stress or anything.

this means that he was able to learn even more effectively than Anakin was. this is also partly because he started so late. infact, leia is even superior to luke in this aspect which is why yoda woudl have preffered to train her instead.
second, the Jedi order had a flawed teaching system. they were purposely holding anakin back, which is why he did not grow as fast as luke did, he never got the oppurtunity to because the jedi training itself existed. he was withheld information, not allowed freedom, was in the hands of a very inexperienced master ( sorry obi wan), while Luke did not have this, he had to do everything on his own until he met yoda.

Luke was able to read anything he could find without some boomers lecturing you to stop. this infringement on info is also a reason why anakin turned and luke didn't.
and lastly, people absolutely downplay how much "training" luke gets. the fact that he didnt have formal training was a good thing, not a ad thing. the jedi were weak as dogshit before the clone wars started. there wasnt as much emphasis on strength because there literally was no need.

Luke’s entire training took place during a period of WAR, jedi padawans and knights during the clone wars were significantly more powerful than their predecessors because they were training in a time of WAR. it's also why Anakin was able to double his power in just three years. Luke was literally the LAST HOPE for the jedi, luke went through training with yoda akin to taking a crash course. they were serious this time around. In canon, luke in RotJ was scaling relative to vader, who was multiple times stated to be at his prime in that year ( although he wasn't at his strongest during that fight but neither was luke ) and that is when he was on the defensive, an aggressive luke was able to pummel vader down in around 20 seconds.

Luke is already confirmed the strongest foe vader has fought. this is just a year after TEsB, and he became 2x stronger. the entire training of the OT takes place over a course of four years.
there is a POSSILITY he took down a star destroyer during the battle of Jakku but that's dubious
by the time of the Mandalorian luke has had an extra 5 years to hone his skill and learn more about the force, and its more time than the OT itself
luke was likely in his prime right before he cut himself from the force, which we never get to see unfortunately. however, we are able to estimate his power at this point.

in TLJ a luke who had JUST reconnected with the force was able to create a force projection so realistic it was tangible at will and fooled kylo's entire fleet. he was also absolutely dogging with kylo no diff.
Luke had a duel with snoke and it's implied that he won the fight, and that he created the scar on snokes face during the fight. this means that Luke prime would have to be RotJ palpatine level or higher. also do not forget that luke was feared by palpatine on exegol and it was implied he could have foiled his plans had he knew of exegol's existence. Vader is commonly shown in his comics how big the difference in power between them how big the difference in power between them really is. so it's clear that Luke would be the victor if they ever fought again.

Training:

The Luke training arg vs Anakin is wack because Luke was trained by Yoda, the greatest Jedi master ever and was also self taught, and said Luke was far more knowledgeable and mature in the ways of a Jedi than Anakin. So it makes sense he can gain so much power whereas Anakin doesn’t.

Training isn’t linear anyway and the same people that say Anakin > Yoda will also say Luke > Anakin is illogical when the same thing applies.

Yes, I read that George Lucas quote, and it basically says that Anakin was supposed to become more powerful than the Emperor, but his potential was hindered because Obi-Wan cut off his limbs, so he could no longer become more powerful than the Emperor, just as Darth Maul and Count Dooku weren't as powerful as him. But Luke could become more powerful than the Emperor, while Anakin didn't. It says nothing about what Luke's potential is in relation to Anakin's, just that both of them could become more powerful than the Emperor. But given that it was later revealed that Anakin was destined to be the most powerful force user ever, I'd say that Anakin has more potential than Luke.

Would you say Kyp or Galen have Skywalker levels of potential? Cause I'm still a little confused on where those two stand.

I do kind of disagree with Padmé not being Force sensitive(I just think she isn't a trained one)even if she is tho it's not like Luke/Leia would automatically get all these traits since it's completely dependent what traits of hers carried over.

George Lucas already said luke Skywalker became what anakin Skywalker was supposed to be, anakin feat on the mortis gods was overrated he was massively amped by mortis force nexus anakin never archive that level of powerful, also luke learned faster was wiser smarter cunnier and more skilled than anakin, luke Skywalker also became the embodiment of hope

I would guess that with Anakin being "conceived by the Force" he probably had greater potential, (like you state) with Luke and Leia likely having as much potential as a lifeform born of a physical conception COULD have.

Had Anakin bred another force-user then maybe his offspring would've had more potential. Instead, he bred a Muggle Padme who gave him mudblood children.

From what i understand. In legends/eu luke and anakin have equal potential, Which luke fully achieved; in canon its not entirely clear and in my opinion contradictory what Luke's power and potential was, however it is certainly way below anakin, with leia being stronger than luke potential-wise.
On an unrelated note, for a star wars rewrite i like the idea that anakin especially after death is the force for all intents and purposes essentially like the supreme god of the force, being the completion of the what the father of mortis was merely a stand-in for, luke and leia as the children of the chosen one have midi-chlorian counts similar to starkiller, palpatine, yoda, and mother talzin; around such levels of force sensitivity is as most exceptionally high as a non-forceborn entity can be (such sensitivity is extremely rare among many generations), however in the case of luke and leia and those descended from skywalker males (2 generations at most in the case of descending from a skywalker daughter) they two can access the full energy of the force as the force's offspring. (Two skywalkers at most can be anakin's proxy in the living force like a dyad but not exactly, otherwise like their peers with similar force sensitivity can only be as strong as the son or daughter of mortis/ yoda and palpatine)

Lastly have Luke's jedi order learn to have attachments, have families, study the dark side, and use emotions with living force in tandem to easily surpass any sith.

Yeap. Even misquotes like the famous scene of Luke losing his hand. Short and simple yet broadly misquoted.
