We started keeping a pencil tree up in the kitchen when my oldest was about 6. FYI he is know 37. We had put the decorations that he had made at school with some kid like ornaments on that tree and he did not want to put away his art work. As the seasons changed the art work changed and as the years went on more things got added. Kitchen style ornaments, plastic hearts roses. Shamrocks, eggs and stuffed bunnies. Flags red white and blue paper chains, tinsel sprays, paper leave, acorns stuffed animals birds, ghost watches yurkeys ect with different color lights that match the season. Now my grandkids bring the art work over to hang on the tree that has their dads art work on it. It become a great family time and lots of memories are shared.

For years, I've had a 4' tree that I decorate for every holiday plus the season. Spring, I use bird houses, nests & birds. Winter is snowmen and wildlife. I've been doing it for at least 10 yrs and I love it! It's fun coming up with new ideas for each holiday & season. Cooper is a cutie!!

Enjoyed the Dollar Tree haul. Years ago when my son's were younger, I would leave my tree up til my Birthday on the 24 th of Jan. and leave the lights on all day. Now I hardly put up a tree, but since the pandemic, I decided to put up a small tree to keep from being bored to death! So, in honor of my 65th B-day I'm leaving it on all day! Stay safe and tfs.

After working working with children for 40 years, I want to commend you in your efforts in terms of literacy. Reading the words is not as important as pointing out different things, e.g. color, size, surroundings and feelings. Your reading experience will be so much better. Love your channel and videos. You're a great mommy.

Feel like having a tree year round takes away from Christmas. Its special because it's only once a year. Happy to see the books. It's good to start love of reading early.

If you haven’t already you might want to look into signing up for Dolly Partons Imagination Library. It’s a free program that sends children’s books from birth to age 5 I believe. I have my now 2 year old signed up and every time a new book comes in my older kids argue over who gets to read it to him first lol. Reading does wonders for the mind! 🤍

I used to leave up a tree when I had elderly clients. We used to decorate it for each holiday. I like the idea of it.

Cooper is a doll and he is lucky to have a Mommy that is starting him off right by reading to him. I didn't keep the tree up but kept up my flocked (indoor) wreath up and decorated it for Valentine's Day. Boy I hope I can find those mini roses and the fairy lights with the leaves. Love them! 😊❣️😉

When we were kids, (like forever ago lol)we had a potted live tree we used for Christmas. My mom started decorating it for different holidays and it was just fun. We eventually had to put it outside in the ground and we kept up decorating it but mostly with stuff for the birds/critters to eat and use for nests. It was pretty cool.

Oh, how fun! We decided to leave our Christmas trees up through Valentine's Day! I thought it was super unusual, but in these times, any festive gesture is great. 🙂 So glad to hear that others are doing the same. 💚

😆 your dancing to the beat of the contractors! I took care of children forever, and we would read 5-10 books a day. At the end of the week, they could choose a book to keep! I bought the books at thrift stores, garage sales, dollar tree! The children loved ❤ it!

I don't even need anymore storage bins, but I'm buying those bins if I see them. They're so visually appealing!

I started reading to my son since he was born as well and is worth it! My son reads extremely well and started saying first words at 4 months. Dollar Tree books are great. <3

Thanks for sharing both items from the Dollar Tree and Cooper! Our little town in Tennessee has a year round Christmas tree inside a popular bank. Right now it's decorated for Valentines; it's also decorated for St. Patrick's, Easter Eggs, Flags for Memorial, 4th of July and Veteran's Day. They go all out for the Fall/Harvest, Halloween tree, then back to Christmas. Oh, I forgot to mention the President's Day with Lincoln's hats and other things. I think that covers it.
