2015 Subaru WRX (Me) VS 2015 Mustang GT 5.0 1/4 mile race at Route 66 Drag strip 4/16/16

This was my 3rd run of the day with a run of 14.246 @ 97.44 Mph. It was my best run of the day, as I had to keep my times no faster than 14 seconds due to not having a helmet. Car is all stock, but it has the February ECM Update, which hurts the off the line torque, which is why my 60 foot times were so high, but the top end improvements helped make up for the loss time. I've owned a coyote, but currently drive a '17 WRX. Both are great cars! This is a very accurate depiction of good drivers (not pros) in each for 1/4 mile. Great video.

I had an 04 sti, i currently drive a 17 5.0 coyote, my sti ran 13s my 5.0 runs 12s. Good video man, way to keep it real.

I have an 07 gt and I can honestly say that my car bone stick is very close it runs around high 13's on street tires and much respect to your subie all mustang guys need to chill on the hate he's willing to step up and drag race a muscle car duh he's at a disadvantage but it takes balls tune that subie up and it's gonna be a lot closer I respect any subie that takes on a 5.0 the coyote motors are no joke they drop 435 hp STOCK that's a ton of power on a stock motor Subaru need to up their stock hp to around 350 at least on the sti in the next model they still run on the same motors at the 04-05 sti

what rpm did you launch and are you shifting at redline??

Subaru really needs to bump the WRX up to 300 hp (at least) and then about 400 hp for the STi. All the other cars are getting faster and faster, but the WRX and STi are basically the same as they were 15 years ago.
The Camaro SS is now a low 12s @ 115 mph car and the Mustang 5.0 is a high 12s @ 112 mph car.

I don't get the bastards in the comments. There's always a faster car, so what. I currently ride a pony but I enjoy your videos. Launch wasn't bad. The WRX is a sexy car. I'd have fun driving it daily.
