Hot take: Lootboxes were not that bad. Sure, there was a chance of duplicates but you got coins for them, enabling you to buy whatever you want.

Playing felt more rewarding than the current battlepass system and by not making them purchasable, blizzard coukd have gotten around the gambling aspect as there would be no money involved.

Maybe givibg credits for playing and level up and then the option to use them to buy a cheaper lootbox to potentially get better stuff OR buy the skins directly.

Also Sym's old teleporter ult had limited 6 uses, then it was destroyed
btw not adding that junkrat shield gen voice line is a missed opportunity

I could never figure out how to switch between the the sym shield generator and teleporter😂. “I have a feeling there’s a shield generator somewhere” junkrat

You couldve compared 2016 torb with tf2's engineer. A lot of early ow1 players migrated from tf2

this is untalked about, but the unique thing old sym had over everyone back then was the fact that she was the only one to ignore armor reduction, although only in max level. didnt change much from today in comparison, as later the game would nerf all beams with 30% dmg reduction, though dps sym did deal 150 dps to armor at some point

might be a hot take but i miss loot boxes. they were so much better than what we have now bc at least you got one every level up and through loot boxes i got a legendary skin for every overwatch 1 hero
