This may explain one of the reasons many players consider the Unity engine poorly optimised. :(

how the hell can i just upgrade my existing Unity version to the latest without ending up with 2 installations? who ever created the unity HUB was a damn idiot. I just want to upgrade...not side install...they don't give me that option...you are forced to uninstall everything loose your settings and install from scratch the new version! unless there is a "secret way" to upgrade...and I can't find it in this stupid HUB u.i... 🙄

SerializeReference is indeed really good. I wonder why the didn't add a default behavior for the array types, where an add icon appears. You could hit the add icon, pop up a Generic menu of all the derived types that you found via reflection and do an instantiation ( well, a minor restriction is the presence of a parameter-less constructor, but that shouldn't be too big of a deal).

Does the new DOTS admit colliders? I started prototyping with dots and managed to make a million cubes rotate on screen, but without colliders is pretty useless for gamedev...

HEy, guys, do you also have a limitation of amount of layers (8) you can paint your terrain with in HDRP? I was hoping that this problem would be solved in 2019.3, but unfortunately it wasn’t. Maybe anyone knows whether they are going to solve this problem and when?
