In case you don't know ladies and gentlemen, I'm taking a small break from all production now this review is complete. After 5 and a half years of working on this content daily, I feel as though the time has finally come. I just want to re-charge my batteries, and look at how to improve the reviews in the future. Thank you all so much for continuing to watch, and I'll return in the not too distant future...

simpsons hit and run the type of game to make a satire of a game about satire

This is the game we played when our parents didn't allow GTA

“Oooh Homey, you’re so sexy when you’re paranoid”

This line just never left my mind ever since I first played this game many years ago.

13:41 The "Reason" Patty and Selma oversee the racing challenges because they work at the DMV.

I love this game. It’s definitely one of the best Simpsons games ever made.

The 3d rendering style reminds me of the style used when Homer went polygonal (3D) in Treehouse of Horror VI.

This used to be my GTA as a kid, not to mention that it was one of the my first GameCube games.

One thing that I found interesting was that when you supposedly jack a car, it turned out your character was riding shotgun with the driver driving you around.

Upvoted for saying you still watch today (2020) instead if bashing modern Simpsons like most people today.

I always liked how the maps were a 50/50 blend of Grand Theft Auto style open world and Need For Speed style road/highway circuits (Think from the early era up to about Underground 1). The details were a lot more focused than Grand Theft Auto because the levels weren't gridded up like a city so the driving was fun. At the same time it gave an impression of an open world because there was just enough variance, shortcuts, etc and how the levels changed over time that it didn't get stale. Add in an actual story line and the whole thing was both charming and fantastic.

The reason Patty and Selma
are in charge of those side missions is something to do with their job at the DMV.

It’s crazy how this never got a sequel.

2003 was honestly the year of the licensed games! Hit And Run, Battle For Bikini Bottom, Futurama the game, Enter the Matrix and Knights of the Old Republic as some really notable ones.
