I feel like you guys are ignoring the fact that bridgette always still loved alex. But previous episodes have shown how chaotic and crazy alex can be on her. I think she always wanted to go back to him (this never really leaving his presence) she just needed a little time. And he needed time to let go of his anger.

Also the irony, in one episode, Bridgette told Alex to get over with the past and signed the divorce papers for real, and now, Bridgette fell again for him again. First of all, that's why exes can't still live together even if they ended in good terms, second, that was tricky because here Alex apparently is more matured than in the other episodes.

Personal advice (even to myself): remember why you broke up and what you want in life.
