Jyll Bradley introduces The Hop

Показать описание
The Hop is an interactive commission by Jyll Bradley which links the urban landscape of the Southbank Centre to the hop gardens of Kent.
The Hop’s artist Jyll Bradley introduces the sculptural installation and its origin. This vibrant abstraction of a hop garden, and the way in which hops are grown, tells the story of the residents of Lambeth who in years past would leave London each year to farm the hops of the Kent countryside.
Also appearing in the video is Hayward Gallery Director, Ralph Rugoff who highlights how the installation constantly changes both in relation to its environment, and the viewer’s perspective.
