God i love this show. When a bullied kid asks him for advice, he just gives the kid 2 box cutters and says "challenge your bully to a fight" and fucks off from that problem. This actually works because its getting the kid to stand up for himself, but Yato could not give less of a shit while still genuinely caring

Noragami holds a very special place in my heart. It kinda sold me on anime. The character writing is just good, and the story beats are genuinely interesting. You root for yato and that matters

I have been reading the manga for literal years, the slowest and sadest monthly release I have ever felt before. Some of the months it would simply take a random break, and some other months we'd get just end of the volume gags. That being said, the story itself has been a real treat, the main villain goes above and beyond with his plan and doesn't back down after losing his footing, he evolves in his aproach and struggles like a pig when he is cornered. The end of the manga was beautiful and I'd recommend everyone interested in Noragami to check the manga out, especially now that it ended and you'll not go through another wait that lasts an eternity...

Edit: the ending was a 7/10, which by all standards means it's "good". It's not perfect, and I am not saying that it's perfect, but let's not pretend that a 7/10 means it's rubbish. There are hundreds of shows with bad endings, but this one's actually elevated what I was thinking about the plot overall. So yes, I'd recommend people read it and make their own opinion on it.

In an era where the generic anime fan calls everything "mid" exclusively to be contrarian and gatekeep, Scamboli is who keeps it pushing. Bro is fr one of the only redeeming parts of the anime community, the "imma keep it a buck" typa guy. Proud to call myself a scambolite. What a coincidence! I literally just finished up my first viewing of this anime series just a few days ago. I loved the fact that rescuing the guy who jumped off a building took so impossibly long that even one of the characters had to mention it. Noragami isn't the most groundbreaking anime series in the world but what it does, it does right. Funny and interesting characters with a fast paced plot. I would definitely recommend it to someone who has never seen it.
