namaste nārasiṁhāya
prahlādāh-lāda dāyine
hiraṇyākaśipur vakṣaḥ
śilā taṅka nakhālāye

I offer my respectful obeisances unto you Lord Narasimha. You are the giver of pleasure
to Prahlad and Your nails cut through the chest of Hiranyakashipur, like a chisel cutting
stone.

ito nṛsiṁho parato nṛsiṁho
yato yato yāmi tato nṛsiṁho
bahir nṛsiṁho hṛdaye nṛsiṁho
nṛsiṁham ādiṁ śaranam prapadye

nṛsiṁham ādiṁ śaranam prapadye
nṛsiṁham ādiṁ śaranam prapadye

Lord Narasimha is here and also there. Wherever I go, He is there. He is in the heart and
is in the outside as well. I surrender to Narasimha, the origin of all things and the
supreme refuge.

tava kara kamala vare
nakhām adbhuta śriṅgāṁ
dalitā hiraṇyakaśipu
tanu bhṛṅgam

Just as one can easily crush a wasp between one’s fingernails, in the same way the body
of a wasp like demon Hiranyakashipu has been ripped apart by the wonderful pointed
nails on Your beautiful lotus hands.

jaya jagadīśa hare
