I love Aldi because they don’t use artificial colors in their brand foods

From a former food snob, Aldi brands are delicious and the quality is 👌

Most of the UK supermarkets, you have to put in a £1 to get a trolley.

the point of needing a quarter in order to get a cart is so the carts don't end up all over the parking lot. Smart idea if you think about it and what keeps the place nice and clean.

For me a trip to Aldi's is like an adventure. You never know for sure what they will have, BUT they always have some sort of fun european chocolate choices. Christmas time is fun for that too. My mom and I chuckle that she can pretend to be vacationing in Germany again when hits the Aldi's in Asheville as they do have interesting german meat choices quite often.

I shop at Aldi only for specific items. I find their produce usually very fresh and a good price. Love their cheese selection. Aldi's is a German corp. thus the selection of sausages. And if you're a chocolate fan their German chocolates are delicious!

Aldi is a German company so you can find cool treats there, especially during Christmas. They are similar to Trader Joe’s because it’s actually rival brothers who own each company. I prefer Trader Joe’s personally. I’ll pop in Aldi when I’m looking for something kind of random but I’m a big target shopper lol I totally save more there with their cartwheel app & my red card debt discount. I’m also a big Meijer shopper too, but I think they’re mostly Midwest? 😁 great vlog! I hope you like what you got!

Aldi is very popular in Europe. Its rival in Europe is "Lidl", which was started in the early 1970's also in Germany to copy the Aldi model. When it opened its first stores in Ireland (where I'm from) it took empty plots in mainly working class areas and built their own shops. So there were jokes about it being cheap for poor people. Soon afterwards, it opened a store in the most expensive postcode. I dated a girl whose family lived there, and she said her mother would see all the ladies-who-lunch filling their car trunks with stuff there :). In Europe, you always need a small coin to get a trolley. A lot of phone shops or drug stores will give you small branded plastic disks for your wallet to use in trolleys. Both Aldi and Lidl are known for having the best fruit and vegetables. They usually have weekly promotions like "Spanish Week" where they have lots of Spanish foodstuff. This can be great for exploring different types of foods. Each week I get a 30 page A3 size "paper" in my mailbox from Lidl with all of the coming week's promotional stuff. At least half of them are hardware/ fitness type things (like special offers on, say, a Bosch drill or sneakers. Also, in Europe retailers are banned from giving you plastic bags for free, and both Lidl and Aldi only have multi-use bags that you have to buy. I think these are for life, so you only buy them once, and if they wear out, Lidl replaces them for free. There is no piped music in the shops, and displaying things on pallets / in their packing boxes reduces staffing needs. And both Lidl and Aldi regularly win prizes for the quality of their wines/ spirits. For example, in 2019, Lidl won the Best Scotch Whisky prize !! Here is the link to that story

Aldi Hack: When shopping at Aldi you can find and use empty boxes instead of purchasing bags at the register. That or remember to bring your own bags. Either or. But purchasing bags all the time will really add up.

Love the Britney tshirt😍

So I came here to check out stores in Florida as I am planing a holiday In Orlando. In Europe Aldi is huge and very cheap, similar to Lidl, they are both german. And all our Shops have the money thing on the carts. I am a Norwegian, living In Spain.
Great video👍

Pro tip for Aldi that I learned: if you forget a quarter, the cashiers will give you one as long as you return it! I think it’s a neat idea, and it’s almost a fun game to see what quarter you will get back after you’re done. (They swap your cart for the last person’s)

We do 90% of our shopping at Aldi. Always bring a quarter, always bring reusable bags. I could be wrong, but I think aldi and trader joe were the same company or the stuff they stock, comes from the same place with different packaging. The name brand stuff isn’t really a “deal”. Most of their store brand stuff I actually prefer to name brand. We’ve found it to be pretty significantly cheaper and they usually have everything we would need. A few random items they won’t have, but they’ll have most things. Also you can do instacart from there, if you’re a grocery delivery kinda person.

Aldi is really good because you can get loads for a cheap price.

P.S In the UK, most supermarkets need a 1 pound coin to get a trolley.
