amazon would have a hard time here, just like Uber did. Ecommerce sector is already dominated by multiple regional companies. It might end up in the same situation as what Grab did to Uber.

As people who lived in SEA, I feel US invest more to Singapore. Meanwhile China invest in each countries of SEA.

Since 2009, China has overtaken the EU and the U.S. as the largest trading partner with the ASEAN Region. In fact, in 2019, 20% of this trade was denominated in Yuan. If considered as a single entity, ASEAN's economic size of about $3 trillion is the third largest economy in Asia.

China invests billions in each country. The US on the whole. Most of the investment probably only goes to Singapore.

This is a false news. The U.S cannot be comparable to China investment in Laos. The U.S barely has anything invested in Laos other than short term investment that has no realistic solutions to the real income or growth long terms. U.S mostly focus on Singapore or Philippine since both are close to the U.S for a very long time and has longer relationship with them compared to some members where the U.S lack such relationship. The U.S investment into ASEAN doesn't necessary mean they invested in all of its members of ASEAN!
