Join us as we celebrate the anointing and vision God placed on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a moving rendition of his favorite song, “Take My Hand, Precious Lord” followed by “Total Praise” featuring Gateway Worship’s Michael Bethany.
Dr. King often invited gospel singer Mahalia Jackson to perform “Take My Hand, Precious Lord” at civil rights rallies to inspire crowds, and at his request, she sang it at his funeral in April 1968. His final words were actually a request for this song to be played at a mass he was scheduled to attend the evening he was assassinated.
