I Bought Expensive AMAZON CUSTOMER RETURNS to REPAIR

Hi, in this video I bought an Amazon Returns Box to attempt to fix the broken items.
So what will be inside, will anything be fixable or will it all be broken beyond repair.
Let's find out.

Remember that this is just for entertainment and I am not an expert in these repairs. The processes in the video may not be the best way, the correct way or the safest way to fix these things. I do love fault finding and trying to fix broken things, so I hope that comes across in this 'Trying to FIX' series. Many thanks, Vince.

With the WH-1000XM4, I am a Sony repair agent. The "wind rushing sound when ambient noise is enabled" is often due to faulty ambient noise microphones. These are located directly under the ear cup foams, right on top of the speakers. They are very easy to replace however spare parts are difficult to get. Shout out to JoesGE though, he has heaps of spares for all types of headphones and small accessories

The world need more people like you. We should repair our electronics, instead of just throwing it out, when something is wrong with it. Often it's just a minor thing.

You can check the polarity of a speaker by applying a small voltage. If the polarity is connected correctly, it will push out, if wrong it will pull the speaker in.

I like the "figure it out" tinkering aspect. Sometimes things are just junk and honestly not worth repairing, but tinkering anyway can be its own reward, and you can use those skills to work on things of more import. Kudos.

I'm no techie at all, but I really enjoy your powers of deduction, how you find and fix faults, and ultimately the little squeals of delight when you do so.

Spent a life time fixing electrical things, from tiny escapement to 2000 hp motors . So I enjoyed watching someone else, fight such problems . Take care.

Hey Vince, here's a handy trick for determining a speaker's polarity. Take a 1.5v battery and connect it to the speaker terminals. Observe which way causes the cone to move outward. Remember the battery's polarity. That's it! Getting this right is crucial for optimal bass performance, so be sure to pay attention to wire orientation.

Company utility truck - has a big camper on the back for tools - eliminates your view out the back window of course. I hated not having a rearview mirror anymore, just big sideviews. Saw those rearview dashcams on Amazon... can't live without it. LOVE it. I bough the 'Wolfbox' brand. Cheap, but it sure works great. Great seeing behind me again and it's even better at night than having a mirror.

Love this kind of video. I usually only try and repair things I don't mind throwing away because they rately get fixed or go back together but I have fun with it.

Lol the binoculars issue is very familiar to me
I was having this issue with my oven where it wouldn’t turn on randomly or would turn itself off after a short while
I tried everything deep cleaning it slamming the door or gently closing it
Tried putting something infront of the door everything you could think of i tried
We were just about to call it a write off and get a new one when I had one last go at really scrubbing the pin and socket that latches the door closed and tells the oven it’s ok to turn on when I realised the pin itself had just come unscrewed slightly
Itd been a couple months of frustration trying to cook anything
Almost several hundred pounds to get a new one
And all it was was a screw thatd came loose
All that hassle and it took five seconds to fix
And here we are a year later and it’s still working perfectly

Hi Vince!
For the correct polarity of the speaker. Briefly connect an AA battery across the speaker terminals. The cone should move out to denote the (+) side.

Quick tip vince - to find polarity of a speaker, simply use a 1.5v battery across the terminals - check which way round pushes the cone out - make a note of the polarity of the battery - job done (it does matter which way round the wires go as incorrect polarity will affect base.

Personal experience: The Wolfbox is an awesome rearview camera mix. I have one wired up to BE the rearview mirror for a vehicle that has no rear windows. This allows my work truck to have rearview as well as the security of having the dashcam.

Those Blackview phones are just imitations of better phones. That's what the camera thing is all about.

To test the night mode of the game game camera, just walk through your garden after dark. It should certainly detect your presence. It may be the IR array is not being turned on or perhaps just a broken wire / loose connector. Enjoyed the video!

I know iPhone's will boot loop sometimes with a dead battery but you are right that could just be a firmware fault and not hardware, had a ton of fun watching this video... also, how do you get these amazon returns? this looks very fun to do

I just want to say that I love your channel. We live in such a disposable society now and I think it's great that you fix stuff. It's also super satisfying when you something to work.

Why is no one asking how you got the products from Amazon? I just ran across this video so please be gentle if your a long time viewer and already know.
This was great anyway I was literally glued to the screen. Very, very informative.
