Farage had a difficult time trying to evade questions when James O'Brien interviewed him. Lol

The big issue is that Yaxley-Lennon, the EDL and those who support and condone their actions like Farage are able to connect with and appeal to a very large minority of the UK population(primarily the English)as they appeal to the xenophobic, English exceptionalist and English supremacist mindset that is endemic in England and to a lesser extent in Scottish and Northern Irish unionists. This needs to be educated out of the population as well as legislation used otherwise the situation will only get worse. It should also be noted that these views have gone from being hidden away to the mainstream since 2016

Conflation of ideas is also a sign of magical thinking and mental ill health. The hate that it generates is the manifestation of those uncritical thought processes, I fear for the future with less classical education and more AI laziness.

Irrespective of Farage and co there is a certain deep seated disgruntlement with those in power. People feel disenfranchised and not heard. Just three weeks ago we had some riots when social services tried take a child into care. If not checked and addressed at grassroots level the reasons for this disgruntled mentality, the country will not prosper in real terms.

It is very easy to spread the truth, they are just giving voice to our thoughts and we recognize truth instinctively.

There should be new laws to prosecute those who incite violence and division. MPs should be banned from social media. Their job is to raise questions in parliament and look after their constituents full stop. No second jobs such as news readers like what Farage does in GB

Do you think it is possible to live in a multicultural society given the strength of feelings on all sides? Regardless of who is right or wrong, the question is can we live together in peace and safety? Are they any specific examples of where different races and cultures have successfully integrated and live happily alongside each other. How can we make multiculturalism work?

If this happened in India or south America the culprit would have been torn to pieces in the street.

Tim we are of an age, yes we are English but more than that I hope fair-minded! however when the parents of these poor children and many more you smack of Lord Halifax !! my fellow Englishman please stop burying your head in the sand it is for us the older English British people to lead the way. NOT RUN AWAY !! you are safe !! Millions are NOT !!

I think of Farage as George Gordon and Lee Anderson as Mr Gashford from Dickens' Barnaby Rudge.

Farage is quiet about Southport because he doesn't want to use that situation to promote himself!
Unlike Jimmy's guardian!

Professor Tim, do you believe that Farage and Robinson are expressing their genuine ideological beliefs, or do you think they are using their positions for other purposes?

"Intellectual" analysis of these events or "personalities" is just a game to some while the average citizen has to deal with the events in real time!
There's only so much one can take!
