It wouldn’t be “just as bad” for the Russians to cut off their oil. It would be catastrophically worse for them because it is about to be their only source of income. Other nations can increase their own supply or release reserves to offset the loss of Russian oil, so they wouldn’t be nearly as hurt by this as Russia itself would be.

USA and Europe still pays Russia around 1 billion USD a day for gas and petrol. Also explain why personal properties were part of this sanction? Like how wealthy Russian's had their properties taken away from them since the war began, houses, cars, yachts, bank accounts etc, I thought personal properties were suppose to be protected? Or is the law versatile to favour the shameless?

This is all so ugly. Could me on, negotiate, negotiate, talk, talk and talk again, we need to go back to peace. This president Zelinski is crazy to continue fighting while his people are suffering. He is a nogood negotiator...He doesn't care about his own people. He should be talking to president Putin and stop doing his crybaby attitude...

As someone in the EU on that russian gas line I think governments underestimate how much hardship we are willing to take. Im ok with brownouts and cold nights (but not old people freezing) if it helps. We shouls be cutting our gas use from russian sources. We have we have 8 months before next winter to figure out new sources.
