The issue is they're pushing incandescent too far.
If you under-run them - Drive a 12v bulb with 11v, you get a dimmer and yellower light. But the life time will easily be 5 times longer.
But if you even slightly over-run them, you get a whiter, brighter light, but dramatically reduce the service life.

Long life variety bulbs are essentially 14v bulbs running on the cars 13.2v alternator.
Enought light to be legal, but designed with longevity in mind.

These are the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm surprised they even lasted 1k hours. Many high performance car halogens are rated as low as 300hrs.

1, 000 hours? Isn’t that at least double the hours they’re rated for by the manufacturer? Not so bad?
Edit: Whoops, I just watched the end of the video where you mentioned it 😂 I guess the trade off would the extra cost of replacing more often if you’re going to run them day and night. Thanks for the info!

Here's the thing. If you accidentally touch the glasswhen fitting it reduces the life span. I've got a Volvo c30 where the dipped beam stays on permanently and sofar it been nearly a year drama free. Unstable current from the loom or a poor earth can also reduce lifespan. Too many factors to blame the bulb itself. Even the bulb seating which is also earth can affect lifespan so...

Phillips rate their expectancy on hours not on a set of time like 6 months or a year. My lights which are these hit rated H7 have 480 hour expectancy

Daytime running lights is what shortens the life even more. Thats the price you pay for the brighter output. I ordered these but I'm going to disconnect my DRL's and put them on a toggle switch so they are not running all the time during bright daylight and only turn them on as needed during foul weather days.

just get a good HID kit and properly aim your headlights. I always get my HID kits from DDM Tuning

Phillips lights quality isn't what it used to be.
And yes in this case it might have something to do with the extra heat of the bulb, but than again I've used to have blue vision about 15 years ago and those lights made it about two to two and a half year.
I don't know but I do know is that I never buy Phillips headlamp bulbs again, there are better alternatives.

Great job from Holland.

Some sellers Amazon offer extended warranty dirt cheap ....
How many HOURS did you put on them ?
Some people drive more in 6mths than others plus what are your roads like ..
Electrical is hard to compare from one car to another ....
Pure luck. As to life .
So Look for Extended Warranty folks ...
