The Dewayne Wise homerun robbery to save Mark Buehrle's perfect game is definitely one to check out. Considering there have only been 23 perfect games in MLB history that catch was unbelievable considering the circumstances. The fact that he was just put in the game that inning as a defensive replacement makes it even more crazy.

Jim Edmonds' diving overhead catch is probably the best catch I have ever seen. Not just the dive, but being able to track the ball over your head is extremely difficult.

You guys are the first British people in my opinion to really actually like baseball and appreciate the skill it takes!! Keep it up please! You guys are awesome 👍

The thing that's important to know too is the context of some of these plays. There are some perhaps less impressive plays that have been made but because they were in playoff games, particularly winner-take-all games in a series, they're super special. One everyone will talk about is Willie Mays' catch in the 1954 World Series. For starters, he had to run out to 420ft from home plate (an area that's a home run in most parks, but was in bounds at Polo Grounds). He then catches the ball over the shoulder on the run, and then manages to it back to the infield to make sure the runner on first didn't tag up. All this with the winning run in the balance in the World Series means a lot of folks consider it the greatest singular play of all time. My personal favorite (as a biased Twins fan) will always be Joe Mauer's catch behind the home plate netting in 2010.

I’ve become obsessed with watching british people reacting to baseball but your channel is so much better than anyone elses, actually put effort into learning about the sport and mixing in more straight reaction videos, always funny always something interesting to say about what you’re watching, best channel doing this kind of thing

Hunter robbing Bonds in the all star game. Matthews jr’s spinning wall catch. Edmonds dead sprint over the shoulder layout dive. Jeter into the stands. Willie Mays 425 feet deep at the Polo Grounds. Mauer calmly leaning around the safety netting behind home plate. So many wonderful catches

Greatest catches in MLB history and no Willie Mays?!?! That play has been known as "The Catch" for almost 70 years! Also, no Jim Edmonds (Anaheim Angels).

You guys have to check out the best infield plays. Best part of the game in my opinion. Quick thinking, quick reflexes, great gloves, strong arms, accurate throws, smooth double plays. So entertaining.

Man, seeing Chavez and Wright in low definition makes me feel old lol. This vid was great and I 100% agree about the diversity of the catches making it enjoyable. Over-the-shoulder catches are so difficult that they don't get as much praise as they should.

Good catches, but missing the Gary Mathews Jr catch which is amazing and the best I have ever seen.

Brandon Phillips highlights would be worth it. He is the first catch. As someone who is from ohio and watched the reds but wasn’t a fan he was still fun to watch

An underrated catch that never really gets put into these videos is Austin Jackson's Willie Mays-style catch that preserved a perfect game (well, if a certain umpire didn't mess up a call on the last out). Austin Jackson has had a ton of great catches, he was one of my favorite players when he played on the Tigers.

That Hal McRae catch is awfully special. The ball was curving away from him, which was why he had to contort himself like that. Every time I see it, I worry that he’s thrown his back out.
Side note: I saw Hal at a spring game, in Phoenix, probably 7-8 years ago. He was doing ball signings. My brother & I (we grew up in the KC area), stopped & said hi. He was a really nice guy.

Honestly the fact that Jim Edmonds doesn't have an entry in that video is crazy. You could probably make a video just as long, if not longer just out of his amazing catches. One of the best defensive outfielders of all time

My favorite i have seen live was Tony Kemp's last year. He had a diving over the shoulder catch and is just a good clip to watch

Watching you guys react to this makes me feel like I’m reliving my childhood days of getting into baseball. Keep ‘em coming!

In the one where the outfielder couldn't see the ball I was thinking "Wow, that hit is taking forever to come down". Never thought he couldn't see it. Enjoyed it.

Great reaction! These guys are so talented. Just a tiny correction. Damo, the catcher slid into the dugout, not the bullpen. The bullpen is where the relief pitchers warmup. I agree with others that Willie Mays should’ve been featured in this.

I recommend watching greatest plays saving no hitters or perfect games it’s incredible watching teammates clutch for their pitcher
