It could be good, but I question it. The Day of the Jackal is a spy/thriller novel set in the 1950s and that time period plays a big part in why it's such a tight story. The original movie adaptation was damn good. They tried to modernize it once with a Bruce Willis movie that sucked big time.

Hopefully this one turns out alright, but it seems way more action oriented than the source material.

God dam, I have never been so exited for a movie remake,

1973 version was a masterpice, And this story is so populer that it has been modifed and used on so many times. Can't wait to see what they will do with this one.

Third version. First was Edward Fox, superb. After that came Bruce Willis, not so much. Redmayne? I don't think so. We'll see.
